Western Kentucky’s vast areas of arable land, drawing from its natural water source, is a distiller’s dream. The surrounding farmlands lie on some of the richest soils of sand, silt, and clay fed from the surrounding river bottomlands. Jackson Purchase Distillery has direct relationships with local farmers to source the region's highest quality corn and wheat for use in the production of our Kentucky bourbon.

IIt is thought that Kentucky bourbon gets up to 70% of its sweet flavor notes from the wood in the new charred white oak barrels. The hot humid Western Kentucky summer days draws the whiskey into the wood grain of the barrels where it picks up the deep rich flavors.
